|Winter Session:||15 hours per week (average) for 10 weeks of work.
Fund Source: University = University and/or government funding, open to all.
|Duties:||The IT Intern will work closely with the IT Administrator to install, configure and maintain the necessary software and hardware required for the day to day operations of the station. Duties will include some but not all of the following, depending on the the qualifications of the selected candidate Maintain the technology used for our podcasting networks Administer our volunteer and donor databases Troubleshoot the VOIP network Help maintain CKUTís digital library system Help adapt the databases and website to suit CKUT's needs, rewriting scripts if needed Install software on computers Troubleshoot and fix computers (PC and Mac) Assess parts/usability of old PCs Liaise with an external web developer to maintain CKUTís website and CiviCRM database Assist programmers with social media and website tasks Please note: There is a lot listed - you will not be expected to cover all of that. The job will be tailored to fit your skills & interest.|
|Required Skills:||Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn new software, hardware, and networking quickly Assets: Experience related to any of the above listed responsibilities & duties. Familiarity with Content Management Systems (specifically Wordpress & Drupal) Familiarity with Customer Relation Management systems (specifically CiviCRM) Experience working with campus/community radio and/or non-profit organizations Familiarity with networked iTunes libraries and home sharing Computer programming or web development skills Teaching or mentoring experience Bilingual (French and English)|
